Indoor Activities....

Indoor activities.................you'd think sewing would be involved, but not today!  It's too hot to be outside, so indoor activities prevail.  My DH painted the bathroom.  He started the project yesterday and finished today!  There are plans to do the floor next week right before we leave for a couple of days to give it time to dry.  Bathroom looks good!  This was his reward............
Blackberry Pie!  Oh my!  DH is a pie lover, so pie is always a great treat for him.

DD spent the day cleaning out her closet and going through clothes...........I have so many more clothes hangers now and a big bag of clothes to take to the resale shop in Columbia.  The closet is still amazingly full.  There were many distractions along the way..........she discovered the tub of Build-a-Bear clothes, and suddenly everyone needed new outfits!  She discovered some Lego sets that needed to be put together and added to her display, and there were several exclamations of, "I wondered where that was!".  It was a productive day and she got her reward as well...........
Fudge brownies!  (see recipe below)
It was nice to have all 3 of us at home today.  We grilled pork chops for lunch with sweet corn and twice baked potatoes (first time baked early this morning and second time in the microwave since it's too hot to cook!).  I also put corn in the freezer this afternoon.  They were given the option of pork burgers or tacos for supper this evening (the one they didn't choose will be lunch tomorrow............don't you just love a plan!), so we're having burgers tonight.  Got lots of laundry done.......washed the new sheets for college, and even got DD to do the ironing!

Maybe will get to do a little sewing this evening!
