Rain!

It started raining here early this morning.  We've already gotten enough that the farmer wouldn't be in the field even if the combine was running correctly.........still a mystery.

When the big thunder booms started, I let Willow in followed by Harry, Mabel, Princess Leia, and even Friday.  I think Harry and Mabel have settled in to watch it rain.

Backing up to yesterday, I loaded my last 2025 UFO on the longarm.

I had a little too much help from Harry and he ended up outside.

Mabel knows that the best way to help with quilting is to nap on the window shelf.

I also cut the borders from my fabric purchase for the Proposal quilt.  And, I made 5 block lotto blocks!

My plans for today included trimming the yard and blowing the grass off the sidewalks since the farmer mowed everything yesterday afternoon.  However, the rain has changed those plans.  I won't be longarming as there is a lot of thunder and lightning.  I do have to prep for a longarm project for tomorrow.  A friend from Kansas is stopping by and wants me to quilt something for her while she waits.   I hope to also get the borders on the proposal quilt and of course, laundry and housecleaning are always on the list.

Speaking of lists, I finished half the binding on the potato chip quilt.  This will complete my 2025 UFO list that had 10 quilts started at the beginning of the year.  However, lest you think I don't have anything to work on, I have started 35 new quilts in 2025.  Seems like a lot, but I have finished 29 of them, so there are 6 things to work on.  I also have some other projects I want to work on like my witch hat, a jelly roll rug, some zip bags, etc.

I have made up a list of 8 things to work on this week:

1.  Finish binding the potato chip quilt

2.  Quilt one of my mom's quilts (there are at least 3 hanging in the tbq closet)

3.  Quilt my friend's quilt (tomorrow)

4.  Finish the borders on the proposal quilt, make binding and backing and cut batting

5.  Work on the witch hat

6.  Work on a Sunbonnet Witchy Sue block

7.  Jelly roll rug

8.  Bags

I just love a good list!
