We're in for a long day of quilting. After getting more thread yesterday, I started quilting early (6:30 am) this morning. This monster quilt for my sister will take all day. After 4 hours I was a third of the way done. I have made the binding so that when the quilting is finished I can apply binding before taking it off the longarm.
Before starting, I checked on my pets. Harry had somehow gotten shut in the garage last night so missed out on the opportunity sleep in the heated cat houses. I let both he and Mabel in. Unfortunately, the amount of quilt batting draped on the floor for this quilt was just to much for them to resist, so they were returned to the great outdoors. Mabel had quite a lot to say about this.
While the longarm has been running, I finished cutting the Hash Tag quilt and then cut the Heaven and Nature Sing quilt (it's the scrappy Christmas tree quilt on the cover).
I also finished the rug that goes with the quilt on the longarm.
I finished up a load of laundry last night and placed the soybeans I had washed and dried by my farmer's lunch bag so he could put them back with the others today.
I'm sure he'll have some more for me to wash. The new combine ran smoothly yesterday. We have discovered it's secondary purpose this morning.............
$150,000 rabbit trap! This little guy's name is probably Stu............Stewy? Sorry for that, but I couldn't resist.
So checking in on the sewing room to do list for the week.........
